I am blogging...I promise. Writing an IM race report takes a ton of time. Plus, I thought I might wait for the race photos. Today is my first day back in the office. And I was astonished at a piece of paper left on my desk. On it, I was calculating what it would take to Kona Qualify at IMFL. For the experiment, I was estimating sub 9:30.
I started with my splits from IM CDA and worked myself down in each of the disciplines. 5 minutes here, 20-30 there. I was attempting to quantify how much work would it take to say lower my bike time by 20 minutes. Is it even attainable? These things look easy on paper.
What amazed me is that I wrote down the following splits:
Swim-1:10:00
T1-05:00
Bike: 5:30:00
T2: 03:00
Run: 4:15:00
Total Time: 11:03:00
I circled the time and wrote: Get there first.
Wow. That gave me shivers
I am there.

lindseyWell at least we got something from you. I am waiting very patiently for your recap of the "RACE". I did not stand on the beach at 6:05 a.m. in 47 degrees for nothing!!! AND I got no respect during the run...Are you with me Jess!!! Inquiring minds want to know!!!
WM
Oh,I'm with you! I can't wait to ignore him, make him do my laundry and cook bagels for me in 2 weeks!!!
Seriously, though...that is creepy about guessing 11:03. Gave me goosebumps! I need a piece of paper....
